Every year, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons gathers for about a week to discuss topics that range from lymph node transfer for lymphedema, to breast reconstruction and hand surgery, to cosmetic face lift.
A focus this year was fat transfer and grafting. Surgeons are always talking about their personal technique for harvesting fat. Regardless, it has been great to talk with other plastic surgeons around the country, as well as to meet old colleagues from years past. Another thing I got to do is eat some good old smoked salmon and water bagels from Skokie. Thanks Chicago!
