Rejection is theoretically possible but very rare; Dr. Jenq has never seen it in her patients. A bolster dressing holds the graft in place for 5 to 7 days while new blood vessels grow into it. Scabbing, peeling and early loss of color are a normal part of healing, and color often returns over the following months.
