The main types of breast implants are silicone gel and saline, and implants also vary by shape (round or teardrop), surface (smooth or textured) and profile (low, moderate, high or extra high). Dr. Jenq uses only smooth round implants at OCRC and does not use textured or teardrop implants because of the link between textured implants and BIA-ALCL. Profile and size are chosen from chest measurements and your goals during consultation.
Breast reduction at OCRC is an outpatient surgery, usually without drains, so most patients go home the same day. The first 3 days are the most uncomfortable, remote workers can often return after about 7 days and in-office workers after about 14, light weights start at 3 weeks, and heavy lifting is fine by 6 weeks. Most of the result shows by 6 months, with subtle changes for up to 12 months, and scars keep fading for 12 to 24 months.
“Boob job” can mean breast augmentation with implants, a breast lift, or both together. At OCRC, augmentation and a lift each have an all-in estimate that includes the surgeon, anesthesia and facility fees, while a lift combined with implants is priced at your consultation because it depends on the lift and implant you need.
