  • Nipple Retraction: What It Is and How I Treat It

As a board-certified plastic surgeon at Oregon Cosmetic and Reconstructive Clinic, I sometimes see patients with a complaint of  nipple retraction. I want to explain this condition in simple, clear language so you know what’s going on and how we can correct it. Nipple retraction happens when the nipple pulls inward instead of sitting outward…

  • Why Thanksgiving Is My Favorite Holiday

As the weather cools and the days grow shorter, I always feel myself slowing down and taking time to breathe. Thanksgiving has become my favorite holiday because it encourages us to pause, reflect, and fully appreciate the people around us. The warm kitchen smells, shared meals, and cozy gatherings all remind me how powerful connection…

  • Healthy Habits That Boost Your Healthspan and Improve Your Surgical Recovery

As a surgeon at Oregon Cosmetic and Reconstructive Clinic, I see every day how strongly our daily choices shape our healing. I often tell my patients that the same habits that increase healthspan—the number of years we live in good health—also improve surgical recovery. This connection motivates me, and I love sharing practical ways you…

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: What It Feels Like and How We Treat It

At Oregon Cosmetic and Reconstructive Clinic, I meet many patients who are scared or unsure about their hand symptoms. I like to break things down simply, because understanding what’s happening in your body often makes everything feel less stressful. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a perfect example. It’s common, it’s treatable, and—when caught early—we can usually…

  • Dissolvable vs. Permanent Sutures: What I Use and Why

As a plastic surgeon, I spend a lot of time thinking about stitches. It may seem simple, but the type of suture I choose can shape how a wound heals, how a scar looks, and how predictable the final result becomes. I wrote this guide because many patients ask why I select one technique over…

  • Do Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Patients Have a Higher Risk of Surgical Wound Complications?

As a plastic surgeon, I sometimes meet patients with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) who ask whether their condition increases the risk of wound healing problems after surgery. It’s a thoughtful question—and one that science has recently explored in more detail. What Is Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome? Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a group of inherited conditions that affect the body’s…

To this day I still get overcome with awe and gratitude when I talk about the clinic or recommend it to someone beginning their own journey. Dr. Jenq and her team cultivated an experience better than I could have imagined.

— Gratitude

It is incredible that almost a year ago to the day, I was recovering from surgery. Your work is so important and valued (I was referred by one of your other patients) & you are an exceptional and caring physician.  So grateful!

If you are thinking about doing this for yourself as well, I cannot recommend Dr. Jenq highly enough for what she has done for me, my family, my future. Do not hesitate to schedule a consultation with her. I am forever in her debt.
